It is starting to feel like home!

We FINALLY moved into our house and I have been busy unpacking loads of boxes, moving furniture and putting up curtains. The first night we arrived no one slept the whole night through but a week later we are getting accustomed to our new surroundings. I still have many more boxes to unpack but here is a peek into our new home.

My china hutch has found the perfect spot!
I have always wanted an island in my kitchen

We removed an over sized black wooden mantle. Mark is making a new mantle with surround.

Mark's mother Connie had the pleasure of having Grandma Moses sign one of her fabric panels and had it framed many years ago. (bottom left) It now hangs over the fireplace.

Another view of dining room from bedroom.

Living room ( no pictures hung yet) Tucker has adjusted well as you can see on the couch.
My new computer station.
My favorite oil painting done by my Mother-in-law Connie Hunziker hangs over my desk.

Some of my dolls have found new homes as well!

Having fun with my imagination!

This morning on my way to the mail box I saw a vine covered bush that looked for all the world like an old fashioned dress so I played a little with pic monkey. Sometimes you just have to have a little fun with your imagination. :)

A New Project in the Works!

A while ago I purchase an antique 19" peg wooden doll in need of repair. I added some glass eyes, repainted her face and made a wig for her as well as adding a pair of carved wooden hands. This past month I have been putting together a wardrobe and wanted to share some pictures of her modeling them. The white dress with lace came from France is made from very soft cotton batiste fabric and fits her so well. Click on picture to enlarge.
