"Tucker" has joined our family!

I am very pleased to introduce a new member of our family we named "Tucker".  He is a shelter dog I saw on-line at the Franklin County Animal Shelter which is about 10 miles from where we live.  I filled out an application and received a call the other day that he was ours if we wanted him. Tucker is a two year old male poodle ( some papers state he is a toy and others say he is a miniature) who is house trained, can sit and lay down on command and LOVES cuddles. He came into the shelter as a stray, very matted and with fleas, poor guy and someone forgot to dock his tail when he was a puppy. His long tail bends forward over his back and is constantly wagging. I am tempted to put a bell on it, LOL.  We set up a crate for him last night but he had other designs for sleeping arrangements in his new home. He slept all night curled up in our bed as close as possible and never stirred. We are on a home visit status for a week but have the option of adopting him anytime...I am thinking this little guy has a new permanent home and he couldn't be happier. More pictures soon.

  1. He's adorable Judy. A shelter dog is the best kind & I have not doubt he is thrilled to be in your home. Tucker sounds spoiled already!

  2. Thank you Sherri, he is so well mannered, fits right in with our low key lifestyle, loves cuddles with both Mark and I and when he has to go get"busy" he will climb up in your lap, give you a kiss and whimper ever so slightly and wiggle his behind then dash for the door.

  3. Lucky, lucky little Tucker! I think he has already stolen your hearts! I do think shelter doggies are the best! My Nell was once one, and she has been such a pleasure.
